Evgeny Sorokin

Evgeny Sorokin has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Evgeny is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Toloka since May 2021. Prior to that, they were a student at WorldQuant University's MSc in Financial Engineering program from April 2021 to October 2021. Evgeny also completed an online Data Science program at MADE Академия больших данных from July 2020 to August 2021.

In 2020, Evgeny worked as an NLP developer at Huawei, where they focused on the development and optimization of language models. Evgeny also worked at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology's Summer School of Machine Learning as a presenter, where they showcased their project on "Backtesting framework for High-Frequency Trading".

Before that, they gained experience as a Back-End Developer at MTS Group, where they worked on backend migration, code refactoring, and development of new features. Evgeny also mentored interns and contributed to project maintenance and deployment. Evgeny participated as a speaker at Neo4j's NODES 2019 event, presenting on RDKit-Neo4j integration project. Evgeny was also a student at RDKit during the 2019 Google Summer of Code.

In 2018, Evgeny worked with MSDK as part of the Google Summer of Code program, where they integrated MS/MS identification module for MZmine and developed a wrapper for SIRIUS & CSI:FingerId identification tools.
