Ryan Handerhan

Director, SAP & Business Intelligence at TOMS

Ryan Handerhan has a diverse work experience in various industries. Ryan started their career as a Software Developer intern at Ellwood Group Inc. in 2007 and later had a Software Developer internship at Boeing in 2009. In 2010, Ryan joined Boeing as a Versatile Technologist through their Information Technology Career Foundation Program, and later became a Database Administrator. Ryan also worked as a Japanese Instructor at the Long Beach Japanese Language School during the same period. In 2013, Ryan joined TOMS and held different roles within the company. Ryan started as an E-Commerce Infrastructure Engineer, where they developed ETL processes and supported merchandising analytics and financial reporting. In 2014, they became a Global Business Intelligence Architect, and in 2016, they were promoted to Global BI Manager, responsible for developing and executing sustainable Business Intelligence solutions for the Global Enterprise. In 2019, Ryan was promoted again to Senior Manager of Business Intelligence, and currently, they hold the position of Director of SAP & Business Intelligence at TOMS.

Ryan Handerhan began their education at Carnegie Mellon University in 2006 and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Japanese. In 2011, they attended Caltech and received a Certificate in Project Management. Ryan then pursued their Masters in Software Engineering from Penn State University, which they completed in 2014. Currently, they are furthering their knowledge in the field of Machine Learning Engineering through a post-graduate certification program at UC San Diego Extended Studies. Prior to their higher education, Ryan attended Seneca Valley High School.
