Lauren Benson

Lauren Benson is an experienced professional in kinesiology and exercise science, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Research at Tonal since October 2021. Prior to this role, Lauren was an Associate Data Scientist at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and held a Postdoctoral Fellow position at the University of Calgary, where research focused on utilizing wearable devices for sport injury prevention. Academic background includes a PhD and MS in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, along with a BA in Chemistry from Amherst College. Lauren also has extensive coaching experience in field hockey at various levels and has taught chemistry to gifted students at the Center For Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University.
