Ryan Lafrance

Ryan LaFrance has extensive experience in firmware engineering. Ryan has held various roles at different companies throughout their career. At Tonal, they served as the Director of Firmware Engineering and was responsible for leading a multi-site firmware organization. Ryan also played a key role in hiring and scaling the team. Prior to that, Ryan worked as a Senior Firmware Engineer at Starkey Hearables and as a Firmware Lead/Senior Firmware Engineer at Fitbit. In these roles, they led teams and contributed to the development of new codebases and the porting of tracking devices. Additionally, Ryan has experience at Verizon Telematics, 3SI Security Systems, GE Energy, and The Rubicon Group, where they gained expertise in system consulting, firmware engineering, and software development. During their time at GE Energy, they filed multiple patent applications and played a significant role in cost-saving initiatives.
