Zhenyu Li

Zhenyu Li has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a focus on process development and analytics. Zhenyu'smost recent role was as the Director of Process and Analytics Development at Tonix Pharmaceuticals, where they have been working since March 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Process Development at Tonix Pharmaceuticals starting from May 2022.

Before joining Tonix Pharmaceuticals, Zhenyu worked at Cue Biopharma as the Director of Process Development from September 2020 to March 2022. Zhenyu also briefly served as the Director of CMC at Versatope Therapeutics from July 2020 to September 2020.

Zhenyu's earlier career includes positions at Aura Biosciences as the Head of MS&T from September 2019 to July 2020 and as a Senior Scientist from January 2018 to September 2019. At Agenus, they worked as a Scientist II from March 2013 to January 2018, leading process development for mAb production and pilot scale production. Zhenyu also worked at Scott & White Healthcare as a Fellow in Tech Support in therapeutic proteins from August 2011 to March 2013, focusing on assay development.

Before transitioning to industry roles, Zhenyu gained research experience through postdoctoral positions at the University of Florida, Moffitt Cancer Center, and the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes. Zhenyu obtained their Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Institute of Biophysics.

Zhenyu Li received a PhD in biochemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1997 to 2002. Zhenyu also pursued a degree in biochemistry from Beijing Normal University from 1993 to 1997. In 2011 and 2012, Zhenyu participated in continuing education. More recently in 2017, they completed a program in Quality by Design through continuing education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
