Joanne Chen

Joanne Chen has over seven years of experience in the venture capital industry. Joanne began their career in 2014 as a General Partner and Partner at Foundation Capital. In 2017, they joined Mya Systems as a Board Member and Investor (Series B). Joanne then joined Tubi as a Board Member and Investor the same year. In 2018, they became an Investor (seed) at CaptivateIQ, Inc., a Board Member and Investor (seed co-lead) at SafelyYou, and an Investor (pre launch) at Oasis Labs. In 2019, they were a Board Member and investor (seed lead) at Watchful and an Investor (seed co-lead) at Jasper. In 2020, they became a Board Member and Investor (seed lead) at Era Software.

Joanne Chen holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Joanne also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with a focus in Finance, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, they attended the North Carolina School of Science and Math.
