Senior Policy Advisor, Government Innovation at Tony Blair Institute for Global Change

Hilda Barasa is a seasoned policy advisor with significant experience in government innovation and digital governance, currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor and Africa Policy Lead at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change since May 2021. Prior to this, Hilda held managerial roles at Gatsby Africa and consulted for the Africa Advisory Group. Hilda's earlier career included positions at PwC as a Public Sector Advisory Consultant and as a Grants Associate at HomeStart Inc., where responsibilities included liaising with service providers and managing housing assistance programs. Hilda also gained experience through internships at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and the Africa Center for Engineering Social Solutions. Hilda holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from Strathmore Business School, a Micromasters in Data, Economics and Development Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a BA in Urban Political Development & Economics from Mount Holyoke College, and a certification in Public Accounting.
