Aaron Lam

Aaron Lam has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Aaron is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at TOOLBX, where they design and reviews backend implementations and provides guidance to stakeholders on technology initiatives. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at TOOLBX, leading a product engineering team and implementing product features on web and mobile applications.

Aaron also has experience in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Artillery Officer, where they led and directed artillery batteries during combat training scenarios and was responsible for managing soldiers. Aaron was recognized as the Top Candidate of Artillery Troop Commander.

Other notable experiences include working as a Software Developer at Kik Interactive, participating in the NextAI founder development and startup accelerator program, and working as a Software Developer at Canopy Labs. Aaron has also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, where they designed benchmarking tools, taught computer science concepts, and graded assignments and exams.

Aaron has interned at Arista Networks, where they designed a Linux kernel module and developed test scripts, as well as at Tesla Motors, where they contributed to firmware engineering and automated testing of infotainment features. Aaron also interned at IBM Canada, expanding automated testing frameworks and performing system verification.

Throughout their work experience, Aaron has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, leadership, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Aaron Lam completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 2016. Following that, they went on to pursue a Master of Mathematics degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
