Mitzi Alex

Mitzi Alex, AICP has an extensive work history in the planning and development field. Mitzi is currently serving as the Minneapolis Office Director at Toole Design Group since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director at Community Development from December 2018 to March 2022. In addition, they were a Community Planning Consultant from May to November 2018 and held various positions at the Rochester-Olmsted Planning Department, including Director from January 2014 to March 2018 and Assistant Planning Director from October 2012 to January 2014. Before joining the Rochester-Olmsted Planning Department, Mitzi worked as a Senior Planner and Coordinator & Manager for Active Living Rochester from 1996 to 2012. Mitzi started their career as a Planner Consultant from 1994 to 1996.

Mitzi Alex, AICP received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban & Regional Studies from UMN in 1992. Mitzi then went on to pursue their Masters degree in Public Affairs with a focus on Leadership & Management at the University of MN - HHH School of Public Affairs from 2007 to 2013.
