Details of Employment:

This is a remote, full-time OR part-time, permanent position (40 hours per week at a salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 at full-time). You must be a Canadian citizen to apply, and preference will be given to local applicants. Applicants must submit a link to a portfolio along with their resume to be considered for this position. You'll work from home most of the time but we do have in-person internal and client meetings once in a while.

Primary Objective for This Position

The Account Manager is responsible for managing profitable, strategic, omni-digital marketing work for our clients. They facilitate planning and collaboration within the team, they understand their clients' businesses and industries thoroughly, and they demonstrate exceptional customer service. They serve a pivotal role in ensuring our clients’ needs are understood and flowing through the agency with proper documentation and data so that our work is valuable and fosters lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities of This Position

  • Manages profitability of client partnerships and projects

  • Pitches new work, where appropriate

  • Ensures client account strategies are sound and that clients are bought in on them

  • Stays on top of Google Chat, emails, and the project management platform, responding quickly to client and team comms/requests

  • Adheres to Account Manager standard operating procedures (SOP)

  • Builds Statements of Work (SOW) and Change Requests (CR) for existing clients

  • Ensures clients are current with invoices.

  • Collaborates with other Account Managers to balance client load, deploy consistent dept updates, and build out the department.

  • Stays on top of industry trends

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in an account management role

  • Degree/certificate in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field

  • Working knowledge of digital marketing best practices, especially in SEO, PPC, Social Media, Websites

  • Proficiency with an office suite (Google or Microsoft)

  • Proficiency with a Project Management platform

  • Familiarity with the Google Marketing and Meta Business platforms (analytics and advertising)

  • Familiarity with WordPress as a CMS

Soft Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage a portfolio of clients/projects

  • Analytical and data-driven, with a lead-gen marketing focus

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a remote working environment

  • Experience with writing client and business briefs, contracts and contract negotiation

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

  • Initiative to enhance knowledge of digital marketing trends, best practices and new technologies

Nice to Haves

  • 1+ years of experience working in a digital agency

  • Proficiency with a CRM platform

  • Experience in utilizing high-performance digital marketing channels

  • Other certifications (or working towards): Google, Facebook, HubSpot, PMI/PMP, etc

  • Experience running a website
