Edmundo López Bóbeda

Edmundo López Bóbeda has extensive work experience in software engineering, blockchain engineering, and language engineering. Starting in 2022, they have been a Senior Scala/Web3 Engineer (Lead) and a Scala/Blockchain Engineer at Topl. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Model Driven Engineering Consultant at Wolters Kluwer - Financial Services Solutions, a remote contracting position. From 2016 to 2018, they were a System Architect/Team Lead and Team Lead at Sintesis S.A., developing a public transportation ticketing solution for the cable car system in La Paz - Bolivia and a generic integration with banking cores. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Full Stack Scala Developer at Idiomaticsoft SRL, developing an invoicing solution for Bolivian companies. In 2015, they were an Independent Software Consultant at Direction Plus SA. From 2010 to 2016, they were a Research Associate and Auxiliare de recherche et enseignement at the University of Geneva, conducting research on modelling and verification of complex systems. In 2006, they were an Intern at COTAS Ltda.

Edmundo López Bóbeda obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Geneva in 2009. Edmundo then went on to earn their Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same university in 2010. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the University of Geneva in 2015.
