Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a Social Media Manager to be responsible for the management & posting of content daily across Topps’ social media channels (inclusive of TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitch) as well as identify new and emerging platforms in which to participate.  This role will also lead all marketing and PR activities across social media.  

As Social Media Manager you will work cross-functionally to ensure Brand, Marketing and Sales initiatives are communicated and promoted accordingly from Topps channels. You will oversee the Topps content calendar, identifying key dates across the various properties to plan and create relevant, engaging content. 

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and execution of the long-term social media strategy for Japan
  • Manage influencers relation (micro and macro) organizing with them all kind of activations, sending them the latest collections, briefing them on our collections and monitoring their content
  • Support development of social content calendars and handle daily publishing across a suite of social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Create social media account from scratch in platforms where we are not present (i.e., TikTok)
  • Create content and content briefs for social media content and update throughout the month as needed
  • Partner with creative teams to execute video and still image content
  • QA posts to make sure they have been tagged, published, and linked properly
  • Comfortable working nights/weekends when necessary
  • Contribute to community management across social channels and follow guidelines and tone-of-voice to actively engage and respond to followers
  • Develop post copy in brand voice(s)
  • Monitor social media trends and make recommendations for quick-turn creative and ongoing strategy or opportunities
  • Assist with strategy for product launches, events, and big sports moments
  • Provide competitive and industry-wide research and reporting
  • Analyse performance and share learnings to improve performance against KPIs

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience working in social media and influencer management
  • Proficiency in best practices and publishing tools for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube etc.
  • Comfortable working with social media publishing and monitoring tools
  • Experience/enthusiasm around working in a Sports related field is strongly preferred, with priority given to collectors
  • Experience managing a base of influencers of all kinds
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and extremely organized
  • Flexible and independent, with the ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a team
  • Works well under pressure, in a fast-paced international environment
  • Passion for social media, sports, and the pop culture entertainment landscape
  • Selected candidate must be fully fluent in English and Japanese
