Tung-Ping Wang

Tung-ping Wang is an accomplished R&D Engineer at Toray Performance Materials Corporation since May 2023, focusing on bio-based acrylic thermoplastic formulation and applications in the composite and consumer markets. Prior to this role, Tung-ping served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Iowa State University, conducting extensive research on the chemical recycling of post-consumer PET waste and optimizing production processes. As a Graduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University, contributions included the development of polymer thermoset nanocomposites, bio-based polyesters, and advanced block copolymers, while also engaging in additive manufacturing techniques. Earlier experience at National Taiwan University involved the synthesis of nanomaterials and the modeling of composite membranes, complemented by teaching responsibilities in unit operations. Tung-ping Wang holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Iowa State University, a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University.
