Adam Shoemaker is a distinguished engineer with extensive experience in autonomy and robotics, currently serving at Torc Robotics since February 2016 in various leadership roles, including Chief Autonomy Architect and Director of Autonomy Algorithms. Adam has held positions such as Component Lead of Behaviors, Planning, and Controls and Technical Director of Behaviors, Planning, and Controls. Prior to Torc Robotics, Adam was a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech from August 2011 to February 2016. Adam holds a Master of Science degree earned in November 2016 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained in May 2011, both from Virginia Tech.
