Chandra Sharma

Director, Community Engagement And Outreach at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA)

Chandra Sharma has a diverse work experience, starting in 1996 as a Research Officer at the International Development Research Institute. From 2005 to 2010, they served on the Board of Directors at Ontario Nature. Following that, Chandra was involved with the Canadian Institute of Planners, serving as the Past Chair of the International Affairs Committee from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, they became a Board Member for the TD Friends of the Environment. Chandra then joined the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, where they held various roles, including Director of Watershed Strategies, Watershed Specialist and Senior Manager for Climate Change, and Director of Community Engagement and Outreach. Currently, they are working as the Chief Administrative Officer at the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority since 2020.

Chandra Sharma received a Masters in Environmental Studies and Planning with a Management Certification from York University in 1998. The field of study was focused on Environmental Planning.
