Eugenia Abman is the Controller at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Eugenia was previously the Senior Accountant at Centric Health from June 2012 to June 2016. In their role at Centric Health, Eugenia provided accounting support in full service accounting department with respect to general accounting activities. This included month-end and year-end closing procedures, maintaining balance sheet continuity schedules for multiple entities, analysis and reconciliation of accounts, payroll, intercompany accounts, and more. Eugenia was also responsible for new acquisitions accounting - purchase price allocation calculation, opening balance sheet audit and working papers, working capital adjustments. In addition, they prepared and reviewed the financial statements ensuring completeness and reasonability, variance analysis, investigating fluctuations and resolving problems. Eugenia provided guidance to general accountants, review and approval of journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS. Eugenia was also a member of Policy and Procedure Committee, reviewed, revised, and developed policies and procedures for continuous improvement. Eugenia participated in special projects (inventory valuation project, new acquisition opening balance sheet audit) during their time at Centric Health.
Eugenia Abman is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) who has received a certificate on finance effectiveness from Ernst & Young. Eugenia has also completed a bachelor's degree in business/managerial economics from Karaganda Economic University. In addition, they are certified by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) as a Chartered Professional Accountant (legacy CGA).
