Craig McLachlan is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in health research and education. Currently serving as the Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Professor and Director for Health Research at Torrens University Australia since February 2019, Craig has also held roles at UNSW, including Honorary Associate Professor and Associate Professor and Director of Research at the Rural Clinical School. With a strong background in project management, grant assessment, and rural health research, Craig has contributed significantly to medical device development, cognitive psychosocial models, and digital technology. Previous positions include Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney, and Senior Research Scientist at A*STAR. Craig holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine from the University of Sydney and multiple degrees related to public health, pharmacology, and trademark law.
