Alberto Grandi is a highly experienced scientist with a background in cellular biology and biochemistry. Alberto currently holds the position of Senior Scientist Group Lead at Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences, where Alberto is involved in research projects related to cancer vaccines and infectious diseases. Additionally, Alberto is the Founder and Head of Research at BiOMViS srl. Their research interests include the gut microbiome, synthetic biology, and bacterial vaccines. Throughout their career, Alberto has also worked at Externautics S.p.A., Università degli Studi di Trento, and Novartis Vaccines, gaining valuable experience in protein expression, antibody specificity, and vaccine development.
Toscana Life Sciences Foundation
The Toscana Life Sciences (TLS) Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in December 2004 by a group of public and private institutions in Tuscany with the mission to support research activities in the field of Life Sciences and, in particular, to foster the development of projects from basic research to industrial application. TLS co-ordinates at a regional level technology transfer activities in the biotech sector in close collaboration with the Tuscany Region.
