James Young

James Young is a Lead Drilling Engineer at TotalEnergies since July 2018, specializing in Carbon Capture & Storage projects and previously overseeing HPHT appraisal and infill wells in the Central North Sea. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Drilling Engineer and Drilling Engineer, focusing on the design and execution of HPHT wells in the UK Central North Sea, with a background in completions and well services on the Culzean project. Previously, James worked at Maersk Oil, where roles included Completions Engineer and Offshore Drilling Engineer, gaining crucial expertise in HPHT developments. Academic credentials include a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh and completion of the Well Engineering Competency Programme at Ray Procter Group.
