Job description

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Desktop Support Consultant to join our Enterprise Technology team.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, prioritizing, resolving, and triaging incidents and requests
  • Working on tickets related to desktop support
  • Installing, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows desktop, Linux desktops, MacOS laptops, and meeting room AV hardware
  • Creating new user accounts, groups, etc.
  • Repairing and upgrading hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting phones
  • Supporting e-mail administration
  • Managing and maintaining information on Tower’s internal documentation hub, residing on Confluence pages

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, desktop support, and computer internals
  • A deep understanding of audio/video hardware
  • The ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware failures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications (not required)

  • Knowledge of Logitech AV hardware, JIRA, Confluence, and Linux

Anticipated hourly rate range is $50-75/hour.
