Yu-Hsin Liu

Yu-Hsin Liu currently serves as a Senior Process Engineer at Tower Semiconductor since November 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Member of Technical Staff and Device and Testing Engineer at NANOVISION BIOSCIENCES INC, focusing on nanofabrication and microfabrication projects involving optoelectronic neural interface arrays and novel photodetectors. At UCSD, Liu held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD student, conducting research on photodetection signal amplification and waveguide coupled silicon photodetectors. Earlier roles included process internships at Nano3 and Illumina, where Liu developed microfluidics devices and advanced lithography processes. Liu's educational background includes a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from UC San Diego and master's and bachelor's degrees in Materials Engineering and Materials Science from National Tsing Hua University.
