Atuya C.

Atuya C. is an experienced professional in parks and recreation, currently serving as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the Town of Chapel Hill, NC, since April 2022, after holding roles as Interim Director and Assistant Director in the same department. Prior to this, Atuya C. worked with The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission from February 2016 to April 2022, first as Assistant Division Chief of the Youth and Countywide Sports Division and previously as County-Wide Sports Coordinator. Earlier career positions include Recreation/Enterprise Facility Manager III at Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department and Recreation Coordinator/Supervisor at UNCG. Atuya C. holds a Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sports Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
