Chief Diversity, Equity And Inclusion Officer at Town of Lexington

Hemali S. has a diverse work experience in the field of senior services and community care. Hemali began their career as a Research Assistant-Volunteer at Saheli in 2012 and later transitioned to a Practicum Student role at the Framingham Council of Aging in 2012-2013. In 2013-2014, they worked as a Care Manager at Minuteman Senior Services before becoming a Community Care Coordinator there in 2014-2015. Hemali then joined the Town of Lexington in 2015 as a Senior Services Coordinator, and later served as the Senior Services Director from 2019-2022. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at the Town of Lexington from October 2022.

Hemali S. completed their Master of Arts degree in Community and Social Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Regis College, attending from 2007 to 2011.
