Lorenzo Cobiella

Lorenzo Cobiella serves as the City Attorney for the City of Doral since June 2024 and holds a partnership at Gastesi Lopez & Mestre, PLLC since July 2014, specializing in local government and land use law. Additional roles include Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Miami Lakes, providing legal counsel to municipal officials, and Special Magistrate for the Town of Medley, presiding over Code Enforcement and Red Light Camera hearings. Lorenzo Cobiella has also contributed to legal education as a part-time professor of laws at Sistema Universitario Ana G. Méndez since February 2013, and previously owned Cobiella Law Firm, P.A., focusing on probate and estate planning. Earlier experience includes senior associate roles in trust and estates law and positions at various law firms providing representation in probate, guardianship, and estate planning matters. Lorenzo Cobiella earned a Doctor of Law degree from Florida International University and a J.D. from Barry University, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
