Forsythe Lars has a diverse and extensive work experience in the construction field. Forsythe started their career as a Construction Superintendent at Southwest Architectural Builders in 1991, where they supervised construction projects and implemented safety programs. From 2000 to 2008, they owned their own business called Orion Services-Pinewood, where they contracted with construction companies for project supervision and remodel projects.
In 2008, they transitioned to become a Building Inspector at Coconino County until 2011. During this time, they also worked as a Permit Technician, handling plan intake and processing and providing public assistance regarding code and process inquiries.
Forsythe Lars then joined Coconino County Community Development in 2011 as a Compliance Manager, overseeing building inspections and maintaining certifications. Forsythe later became a Building Inspector II until 2019, during which they obtained additional ICC certifications and managed inspections and plan reviews.
From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Code Enforcement/Building Inspector at the City of Cortez, where they conducted code enforcement, building inspections, and issued permits.
Currently, Forsythe Lars is a Building Inspector III and the Chief Building Official at the Town of Mountain Village since 2021.
From 2008 to 2020, Forsythe Lars attended the International Code Council, where they earned 10 certifications in inspection and plan review. Forsythe'sfield of study was Building/Home/Construction Inspection/Inspector.
