Catalin Lupu

Catalin Lupu has a diverse work experience in various roles within different companies. Catalin is currently working as a Lead Data Scientist at Toyota Connected Europe since March 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Altran for a significant period of time, starting as a Consultant in August 2011 and eventually becoming a Senior Consultant and Team Leader in the Altran Intelligent Systems Benelux Division. In this role, Catalin was responsible for business development of Analytics Modelling and Simulations consultancy services, focusing on Machine Driven Big Data applications and services.

Before joining Altran, Catalin worked as a Consultant collaborator with ProData Consult, specializing in Matlab programming, software development, analyses, and design. Catalin also had their own consulting company, CLCONSULT v/Catalin Lupu, where they worked as an IT and Engineering consultant and owner. During this time, they developed Matlab/C/C++/C# based applications for the turbine industry and created UML models for software analysis and implementation.

Catalin also gained experience as a Research Systems Engineer at Vestas Wind Systems A/S and as a Research Assistant at "\"Al. I. Cuza\" University". In these positions, they contributed to research activities in the respective organizations.

Catalin Lupu completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics at "Al. I. Cuza" University in Iasi, Romania from 1999 to 2004. Catalin further pursued their studies and obtained a Master's degree in Physics Engineering from the University "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" in Iasi, Romania from 2004 to 2006.
