Ed Hockings

Ed Hockings has a diverse work experience in various design roles. Ed most recently worked as a Design Systems Lead at Toyota Connected Europe since April 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Design System Designer at Moonpig, where they played a crucial role in developing and maintaining the design system. Before that, Ed worked at Nationwide Building Society as a Senior UI Designer, where they contributed to the enhancement and communication of the design system. Ed also has experience as a Senior Digital Designer at Imagine Cruising, Digital Product Designer at Booking.com, and Digital Designer at Carnival UK. Additionally, they had graphic design roles at Bramden Limited and Carnival UK. In their various roles, Ed demonstrated their ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop comprehensive design systems, and prioritize email marketing communication.

Ed Hockings completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Graphic Design from Middlesex University between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended Barton Peveril Sixth Form College from 2007 to 2009 and St. George's Catholic School For Boys from 2001 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Ed has obtained several certifications in various areas of design, such as UX DesignOps, accessibility for web design, advanced design patterns, CSS design systems and architectures, Dieter Rams' principles of good design, hands-on experience with design systems, systems thinking for product designers, and UX foundations for style guides and design systems, all of which were completed on LinkedIn in 2023.
