Nik Vandewouwer

Nik Vandewouwer has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. Nik started their career as a Developer at QSO, where they rewrote a Microsoft Access application in VB.NET for their thesis. In 2006, they also worked as a Test Engineer at CTG - Computer Task Group, testing various software applications.

In 2007, Vandewouwer joined Agfa Healthcare as a Test Consultant, responsible for testing the NX Workstation application used for processing X-ray images. Nik then worked at DVV verzekeringen as a Test Consultant for a brief period before joining Quasus, where they continued as a Test Consultant from 2007 to 2011.

Vandewouwer then became a Test Consultant at Toyota Motor Europe in 2007, testing the ERP system used within the supply chain of service parts. Nik covered all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory control, sales, invoicing, and warehouse operations. Nik held this role until 2011 and then returned to Toyota Motor Europe in 2013 as a Test Consultant, testing the same ERP system. Nik continued in this role until 2016.

In 2014, Vandewouwer took on a new role as a Test Consultant at Toyota Motor Europe, this time testing a pan-European online service booking system on a new cloud-focused architecture. Their responsibilities included testing core functionality around RESTful resources with backing cloud services. Nik used various technologies such as JIRA, Scrum, REST, JSON, Heroku, Amazon Web Services, and MongoDB. Nik stayed in this role until 2016.

Vandewouwer has recently joined Toyota Connected Europe in 2020 as an Agile Business Analyst. Nik is responsible for analyzing business requirements and ensuring agile project delivery.

In addition to their work experience, Vandewouwer also owns Probatio since 2011, where they are the owner of the company.

Nik Vandewouwer completed their education from 1996 to 2002 at Vrije St.-Lambertusscholen Westerlo, earning a degree in Industrial Sciences. They then pursued Applied Informatics from 2002 to 2006 at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen. In 2008, Nik obtained the ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing from ISTQB. In 2023, they obtained the SAFe Product Owner-Product Manager Exam (5.1) certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
