Alex Alspach

Alex Alspach is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in robotics and mechanical engineering. Since January 2017, Alex has served as the Tactile Sensing & Whole-Body Manipulation Team Lead and Senior Manager at Toyota Research Institute, previously holding roles as a Team Lead and Manager. Prior to this, Alex worked at Disney Research as a Robotics Research Associate, focusing on humanoid and soft robotics, and at SimLab Co., Ltd. as a Robotics Engineer, where responsibilities included software and hardware development for robotic systems. Alex's early career involved research and teaching roles at Drexel University, culminating in a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additional experiences include internships in product development and research across various organizations where Alex honed skills in design, testing, and collaborative engineering projects.
