Jim Zehmer

President, TABC, Inc. at Toyota Motor Corporation

Jim Zehmer is president of TABC, Inc., located in Long Beach, California. Established in 1972, TABC represents Toyota’s first North American manufacturing operation and produces sheet metal and aluminum components and weld sub-assemblies for Toyota’s North American truck manufacturing facilities and Tesla Motors, along with catalytic converters and numerous past model service parts for Toyota Motor North America, Inc.

Zehmer previously served as TABC’s general manager, administration and was responsible for all administration, quality and production control activities. He joined TABC’s finance team in 1992 and has held a variety of leadership positions including controller and manufacturing support general manager. Zehmer also was responsible for the administration functions at Toyota Motor Manufacturing de Baja California, Toyota’s vehicle assembly plant in Tijuana, Mexico for a two-and-a-half year period starting in 2016.

Zehmer has been involved with numerous organizations in the Long Beach community since 2005, including serving as board member on the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, California Conference for Equality and Justice and Long Beach Ronald McDonald House.

Prior to joining TABC, Zehmer held positions at Dunlop Aviation, Inc. and Hughes Aircraft Company in Southern California.

Zehmer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from UCLA and a Master’s in Business Administration in Corporate Finance from USC. Additionally, Jim has completed several Executive Development Programs while at TABC.
