Keiji Yamamoto

Chief Information & Security Officer, Chief Software Officer at Toyota Motor Corporation

Keiji Yamamoto was born on March 28, 1961. He graduated from Shimane University with a bachelor's degree in physics in March 1983, and joined Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in May 1987.

In January 2005, Mr. Yamamoto was appointed general manager of Strategic Planning & Administration Department, Electronics Engineering Division 1.

In April 2007, he became general manager of Electronics Engineering Division 1.

In January 2008, he was seconded to Toyota InfoTechnology Center Co., Ltd.

In June 2011, he was appointed project general manager of Electronics Engineering Field. In January 2012, he was appointed general manager of Electronics Development Division 1. In April 2016, he was promoted to executive general manager and became in charge of Connected Company.

In April 2017, he was promoted to managing officer and appointed executive vice president, Connected Company. In July 2019, he was promoted to operating officer and also became president of Connected Company.

In January 2021, he was promoted to operating officer and became chief information & security officer, chief software officer, in charge of Digital Transformation Promotion Department, as well as in charge of Information Systems Group.
