Lei Zhong is an accomplished researcher and manager with extensive experience in the automotive and information technology sectors. Currently serving as a Group Manager and Principal Researcher at Toyota Motor Corporation, Lei has held multiple leadership roles in the Automotive Edge Computing Consortium, 3GPP, IEEE802, and the Wi-Fi Alliance since 2018. Lei's previous positions include Senior Researcher/Architect at TOYOTA InfoTechnology Center and various research roles at The University of Tokyo, the National Institute of Informatics, and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology. Lei holds a Ph.D. in Informatics from The Graduate University for Advanced Studies and advanced degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tongji University and China University of Mining and Technology.
