Katie S.

Katie S. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Katie started their career as an HR Consultant at HR Consulting in 2005 and worked in that role until 2010. From 2008 to 2011, they served as a Regional Operations Director at MMH (Impellam Group Plc), where they were responsible for the operational delivery of forensic medical contracts.

In 2011, Katie joined Carillion as an HR Director and later became the HRD - Organisational Development, leading strategic and operational responsibilities for OD activities across the whole Carillion Services business. Katie worked in this role until 2014.

Following that, Katie took on the role of Head of Profession Map at CIPD in 2014. In this position, they led the development of a new model of HR competence and practice and managed a change program encompassing the profession.

Katie then joined the BBC in 2015 as the Head of Talent, providing talent and leadership development services to the core employee base of 23,000. Katie worked in this role until 2016.

In 2016, Katie became an HR Leader at TE Connectivity, where they led the Global HR Team for the Connectors sub-vertical business unit. Katie managed a team of HR Managers and Business Partners across multiple time zones until 2017.

From 2017 to 2021, Katie worked at Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) in various HR roles. Katie started as the Deputy Director of Human Resources/Head of Talent & Organisation Development, overseeing organization development, talent, diversity & inclusion, learning, and leadership specialist services. Later, they became the Deputy Director of Human Resources, responsible for delivering HR services to DE&S's core employee base. Finally, they served as the Director of HR (interim), leading the People Function and delivering HR services to the employee base of 12,500.

Katie then joined Britishvolt in 2021 as the Head of Learning and Development, managing learning programs and graduate/apprenticeship schemes. In 2022, they became the Human Resources Director before moving on to become the Chief People Officer at TPXimpact later that year.

In addition to their various roles, Katie S. also served as a Board Trustee for HR at One25 since 2019.

Katie S. received a Master's Degree in MSc Human Resources from Kingston University from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Post-graduate Certificate in the Psychology of Organisational Development & Change from the University of Bedfordshire in 2013-2014. Additionally, they earned a Post-graduate Certificate in Personnel & Development from CIPD Qualifications in 2010-2011. Katie S.'s earliest education in the field of Human Resources dates back to 2001-2004 when they completed a PQS (Professional Qualifying Scheme) in Human Resources from CIPD Qualifications.
