Omkar Borkar

Omkar Borkar has a strong work experience in software engineering. Omkar worked at TraceLink as a Software Engineer III, where they successfully upgraded a large-scale project from Java 8 to Java 11 over the course of a year. In their role as a Software Engineer II, they led the development of an API Rate Limiter utilizing the Leaky Bucket Algorithm with Redis Cache, ensuring a smooth customer experience. As a Software Engineer I, Omkar solved complex business escalations and delivered scalability, performance improvements, and a key security feature in a microservice for European clients.

Additionally, Omkar gained practical experience as a Software Development Intern at Pi Techniques Pvt. Ltd. during which they built a 9000 SLOC module within one month and contributed to onboarding new team members.

Omkar Borkar completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Mumbai University Mumbai from 2013 to 2016. Omkar then went on to pursue their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) from 2016 to 2019, specializing in the field of Computer Science.
