Eliano Marques

Eliano Marques has a diverse background in data science and analytics. Eliano is currently the Chief Product & AI Officer at Tracer, where they are responsible for overseeing product development and implementing artificial intelligence solutions. Additionally, they hold a position as Coordinator and Professor of Applied AI Pos-Degree Course at ISEG - Executive Education.

Previously, Eliano founded DataMentors in 2020, where they focused on utilizing data and analytics to drive business growth. Eliano also served as the Chief Data & AI Officer at Protegrity from 2020 to 2022, where they played a key role in developing and implementing data and AI strategies.

Prior to that, Eliano held the position of Vice President Enterprise Analytics - Data Science at Emirates Group from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they built and led a team of AI experts to develop and deploy data products using machine and deep learning techniques.

From 2015 to 2018, Eliano served as the Director and Global Head of Data Science at Teradata. Eliano played a crucial role in growing the data science practice and developing innovative data analytics solutions.

Before joining Teradata, Eliano worked at Deloitte UK as a Senior Manager Analytics from 2012 to 2015. Eliano was responsible for overseeing analytics projects and providing strategic insights to clients. Prior to that, they held the position of Energy Analytics Manager at EDP Serviços in 2012.

Eliano began their career as an Analytics Consultant at Deloitte from 2009 to 2012, where they worked on various projects involving data analysis and business intelligence.

Eliano also gained research experience as a Student Researcher at Centro de Matemática Aplicada a Decisão Económica (CEMAPRE) from 2008 to 2009. Their research focused on the gravity equation and trade flow among UE25 countries.

Eliano Marques completed their education at ISEG. Eliano earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Econometrics and Forecast from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Degree in Economics from the same institution, studying from 2006 to 2009.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Eliano Marques also obtained certifications in various fields. In August 2015, they completed a course on Data Science with Apache Spark at Databricks. Eliano also acquired knowledge in Big Data on Amazon Web Services through a course offered by QA Ltd in April 2015. In June 2013, they obtained a certification in Dimensional Modelling from Kimball University. Finally, in November 2012, they completed a course on Data Science and Big Data Analytics offered by EMC.
