Steve Marek

Steve Marek has a wealth of experience in a variety of industries. Steve began their career in 2002 as an Undergraduate Research in Organic Chemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2004, they started MarekPhotography as a Freelance Photographer. In 2015, they joined Blue Lizard Climbing and Yoga, LLC as a Co-Founder and Lead Guide. In 2016, they became an Engineering Instructor at El Paso Community College. In 2005, they began working at the University of Texas at Austin as a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Fellow in Pharmaceutics, where they researched the cause of batch-to-batch variability in inhalation-grade lactose for dry powder inhalers and investigated the origins of adhesive/cohesive forces between DPI carrier, drug, and inhaler. In 2019, they joined Third Round Analytics Capital as Chief Scientist and Founding Partner. At TRAC, they use proprietary technology to identify and invest in future unicorns and other hypergrowth startups.

Steve Marek received their BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2005, and their PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009.
