Lakshmi Suresh, CPA, FRM, CMA, ICWA, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles over the years.

Starting in 1982, Lakshmi worked as an Assistant Manager in Lending at Indian Overseas Bank, managing a portfolio of business clients.

Moving forward, Lakshmi joined the National Bank of Umm Al Quwain in 1993 as a Credit Officer and Relationship Manager. In addition to client relationship management, Lakshmi also took on the responsibility of managing the Finance Department.

In 1997, Lakshmi joined RAK Bank as a Credit Officer and Deputy Head of Credit, overseeing risk assessment, credit approval, and overall management of a substantial credit portfolio.

Continuing their career progression, Lakshmi joined Union National Bank in 1998 as a Senior Manager in Risk Management, playing a significant role in the growth and implementation of cutting-edge risk management software.

From 2002 to 2006, Lakshmi worked as a Senior Manager in Client Relationship Management and Credit Solutions at Scotiabank. Lakshmi built and oversaw relationships with large commercial clients, handling complex capital credit structures.

In 2006, Lakshmi joined PricewaterhouseCoopers and served as a Manager in Advisory Services. Lakshmi led diverse projects in credit risk management for financial institutions and was recognized for their expertise in lending processes and project execution.

Afterward, Lakshmi pursued private consulting in 2009, offering their expertise to various clients until joining The Saudi British Bank in 2010.

At The Saudi British Bank, Lakshmi held multiple roles, including Head of Financial Institutions Division, Head of Regulatory Compliance - Global Banking & Markets, and most recently, Head of Compliance Integration. Lakshmi played critical roles in managing global portfolios, regulatory compliance, and leading integration projects during a bank merger transaction.

In 2021, Lakshmi took a break from employment but has recently joined TRADE X in 2022 as the Director of Finance.

Lakshmi has also developed skills in financial analysis by successfully passing Level 2 of the CFA program offered by the CFA Institute. Furthermore, they acquired knowledge in financial risk management through a program offered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals, achieving an FRM degree. Additionally, they completed a program in management accounting from the Institute of Management Accountants, earning a CMA degree. Lakshmi also pursued a program in financial management from the same institute, obtaining a CFM qualification. Moreover, they hold an M.A. degree in English Literature from Madurai Kamaraj University.
