Carlos G. O. has had a diverse range of work experience. Carlos G. started their career as a Trader at IDB Capital Corp in 2001, where they worked until 2006. Following that, they became the Head Trader at VectorGlobal WMG, managing sales and trading activities. In 2007, they joined ING as a VP of EM Fixed Income Sales, where they covered institutional clients and executed trades in emerging markets. Carlos then transitioned to Barros Luco, where they founded and managed Manhattan's first Chilean fast casual restaurant. In 2010, they joined ING Financial Markets as a Director of EM Credit and Rates Sales, providing market insights and trading ideas to institutional clients. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Head of Business Development & Sales for the Americas at EMBonds, an electronic trading platform for emerging markets fixed income. Carlos then joined CITIC CLSA Securities, working as a Director of Fixed Income Sales and building the NY Sales desk. In 2019, they took a career break to care for their mother while also learning no-code tools and attending workshops and conferences related to finance and technology. In 2020, Carlos started MyCareServices Inc., a platform aimed at connecting people with local care and support services. Currently, they are working as the Director of Emerging Markets Product at Tradeweb and will be transitioning to the role of Director Latam Sales in 2023.

Carlos G. O. has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, General from Boston College, which they obtained from 1995 to 1999. Carlos G. then pursued an MBA in Financial Markets & Instruments and Entrepreneurship from NYU Stern School of Business, where they attended from 2006 to 2009. Carlos also obtained various certifications, including Series 4, 7, 24, 55, 63, and 65, from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in 1999.
