Dee Carpenter

Dee Carpenter has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and mental health field. Their most recent positions include working as a Medical Social Worker for Self Regional Healthcare and Traditions Health, both starting in 2023. Prior to that, Dee worked as a Certified Mental Health First Aid Adult Facilitator for the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in 2022. They also served as a Professor at Piedmont Technical College starting in 2019. Dee has held roles as a Behavioral Health Consultant for Carolina Health Centers, Inc. from 2021 to 2023, a Mental Health Specialist for Synergy Counseling of Greenwood from 2019 to 2020, and a Human Service Coordinator-I for the South Carolina Department of Mental Health from 2018 to 2019. Earlier in their career, Dee worked as a Customer Service Support Manager for Sykes, Inc. from 2011 to 2018, a Behavioral Health Social Worker for Self Regional Healthcare in 2017, and an Employment Specialist for a non-profit agency from 2015 to 2016.

Dee Carpenter received a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of South Carolina in the field of Social Work. This educational milestone was achieved between 2014 and 2017. Prior to this, Dee completed a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Sociology from Lander University, spanning from 2007 to 2011.

In addition to the formal degrees, Dee Carpenter has obtained several certifications. These include becoming a Certified Mental Health First Aid Adult Facilitator from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in October 2022, obtaining a Notary Public Commission from the State of South Carolina in August 2022, completing a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021, and obtaining a license as a Master Social Worker from the ASWB - Association of Social Work Boards in April 2021.
