Yifan W. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2006, Yifan interned as an SDE at Microsoft, followed by an internship as a Software Engineer at SAP in 2008. From 2011 to 2018, Yifan worked as a Software Engineer at Yelp, focusing on building an ad platform from scratch and handling large-scale data processing. Yifan also spoke at the Spark Summit in 2017, sharing insights on building a streaming processing pipeline for online advertising. In 2019, Yifan joined MOAC Blockchain Tech, INC as a Principal Architect, where they worked on L2 solutions and DeFi on L2. Notably, they made contributions to P2P network/DHT protocols and pioneered a new consensus algorithm rooted in the BLS signature scheme. Currently, Yifan serves as the Principal Architect of Blockchain at TraDove, Inc., starting in 2022, where their expertise is being utilized. Additionally, Yifan has a unique role as the Chief Randomness Officer at YIFAN.IO since 1983.
Yifan W. pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Chicago from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, Yifan W. completed a Master's degree in Informatics at the Technical University of Munich from 2006 to 2009.
