Derek M. Strout

Derek M. Strout is a seasoned Geographic Information System Specialist currently overseeing GIS operations at Rails-To-Trails Conservancy since June 2016, where management of the trails database for TrailLink.com is a key responsibility. Prior experience includes serving as a Geospatial Analyst and Imagery Scientist at Riverside Research from October 2012 to May 2016, providing support in GEOINT analysis for the Office of Naval Intelligence and open-source intelligence for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. Additionally, Derek held various roles at DeLorme from May 2007 to August 2012, culminating as a Senior GIS & Map Technician, where project leadership on a notable NGA contract and training of associates were significant accomplishments. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Vermont and further studies at Macquarie University.
