Scott Holleran has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Scott is currently the Director of IT at Training The Street since January 2023. Scott is also a member of the Security Congress Event Advisory Committee at (ISC)², where they advise on content and recommends speakers for the Security Congress program.

Before their current roles, they worked at CommScope from 2016 to 2023. During their time there, they held several positions, including Director of IT Digital Workplace and Manager of Internal User Experience. Scott also served as a Manager of IT Special Projects, where they provided advisory services and organized critical executive initiatives across IT departments.

Prior to CommScope, Scott worked at Avaya as a Sales Engineer from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they advised and designed communication solutions for enterprise accounts, collaborating with stakeholders to drive revenue for the company.

Scott also has military experience, having served in the US Army from 2009 to 2015. Scott held various positions, including Battalion Executive Officer and Battalion Information Systems Officer, where they oversaw human resources, logistics, budgeting, and communication functions. Scott also served as an Infantry Officer, holding positions of increasing responsibility within the Infantry branch.

Scott Holleran holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Scott also has a Bachelor's degree in Economics/American Politics with a minor in Computer Science Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, which they completed from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Scott Holleran has obtained several certifications. Scott achieved the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in January 2022. Scott also completed the Design Thinking for Innovation course from Coursera and the Hello, Design Thinking course from IDEO U in January 2018. In June 2017, they earned the ITILv3 certification from EXIN your ICT competence partner. More recently, they became a Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in February and March 2022, respectively. Scott holds other certifications such as Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (obtained in June 2015), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) (obtained in August 2019), and various certifications from CompTIA, Cisco, and Avaya.
