Wangjia Sun

Wangjia Sun has over a decade of work experience in the software industry. Wangjia started their career at Open Square in 2007 as a Software Developer before moving on to iFind Media in 2009 as a Software Developer as well. In 2010, they joined OpenBet as a Software Developer, where they were responsible for developing betting and gaming software and managing database migrations. In 2011, they became a part of Maru/edr as a Senior Web Developer and eventually took on the roles of Lead Developer and Product Manager. In 2017, Wangjia joined Joivy as a Technical Project Manager and then moved to VistaJet in 2018 as a Software Development Manager. Currently, they are working at Trainline as a Software Engineering Manager and is also the Head of Engineering since September 2022.

Wangjia Sun earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Xidian University, attending from 2002 to 2006. Following this, Wangjia pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Southampton, attending from 2006 to 2007. In addition to formal education, Wangjia obtained certifications such as a Level 1 Award in Coaching Football from The Football Association in April 2015 and Machine Learning from Stanford University through Coursera Inc. in October 2016.
