Brian Jones

Brian Jones has over 20 years of work experience in the energy industry, with a focus on power generation. Brian started their career at Delta Electricity, where they held various managerial positions and was recognized for their excellence in leadership. Brian then moved on to AGL Energy, where they served as the Head of AGL Torrens Island Power Station, overseeing its profitable and sustainable operation. After that, they joined BHP Billiton as a Contract Project Manager, responsible for delivering capital projects from concept to commissioning. Brian later worked at Glencore PLC as the Chef de Departement Centrale Electrique and Chef de Departement Projet Strategique, leading the power generation assets for the Koniambo Nickel Project. Currently, they are the Vice President of the Alberta Thermal Business Unit at TransAlta, where they are responsible for the safe operation and profitability of the Sundance and Keephills Power Stations. Overall, Brian has a strong track record of successfully managing complex projects and driving business growth.

Brian Jones has a Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Brian also holds an Associate's Degree in Marine Engineering from Sydney Technical College. Additionally, Brian has obtained a Master of Business Administration from Wollongong University Business School.
