Director, Diversity & Inclusion at Transit Authority of River City

As Director of Diversity and Inclusion at TARC, Maria ensures that fair and equitable treatment is experienced by all employees of the organization as outlined by the FTA and TARC’s own strategic plan.

Monitoring EEO statistics for the organization, creating inclusive programs, ensuring an open door for every employee by creating a safe space to be heard, collaborating with Training, HR, and legal counsel to move diversity and inclusion initiatives to become part of the DNA of TARC, are some of the responsibilities Maria has taken on as Director of Diversity and Inclusion.

An undergraduate of the University of Kentucky, graduate of DePaul University’s Master’s program in Education with a concentration in HR Management, and with over 15 years of progressive experience in human resources, Maria brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help TARC in the mission.
