Joy M. Jones

Joy M. Jones has extensive experience in the non-profit and social services sector. Joy M. most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Transition Projects, a housing and homeless service agency. In this role, they successfully managed a $31 million budget and met a fundraising goal of $500,000. Prior to this, Joy held the position of Vice President of Programs at Abode Services, where they led affordable housing, social services, and outreach efforts in multiple counties. Joy M. also worked as a Regional/State Liaison at ICF | Capacity Building Center for States and as a Senior Manager of Performance and Quality Improvement at Lutheran Services of Georgia, Inc. Earlier in their career, Joy held various leadership positions at Childkind, Inc., GCAPP, and Clark Atlanta University. Joy M. has a strong commitment to supporting the unhoused community and implementing programs that achieve positive housing and wellness outcomes.

Joy M. Jones has a diverse education history. Joy M. first attended Wilberforce University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Then, they enrolled at Clark Atlanta University from 1998 to 2001, achieving a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Social Work. Additionally, they pursued a Certificate in Organizational Leadership and Performance through the Bridgespan Organizational Leadership Program, Leading for Impact from 2013 to 2015. Joy M. Jones later returned to Clark Atlanta University and obtained another Master of Social Work degree, this time with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
