Bidisha Rudra

Bidisha Rudra has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Bidisha began their career as an Adjunct Faculty of Information Systems at the Institutional Analysis, University of Utah, where they also served as a Senior Research Analyst. From there, they joined American Express as a Manager and later worked at Citigroup as a Senior Analyst. In 2005, they became a Senior Analyst at TXU Energy.

In 2006, Rudra joined Essilor, where they held various positions over the years. Bidisha started as a Market Analytics, Group Manager and eventually became the Associate Director, Decision Sciences and then the Associate Director, Business Development & Corporate Strategy. Bidisha also served as the Director of Marketing, IDD Channel and the Executive Director of Managed Vision Care Lab Sales. From 2018 to the present, Rudra worked at Transitions Optical as the Senior Managing Director, Essilor Transitions (USA), responsible for maximizing sales and profit objectives for Transitions® lenses in the United States.

Throughout their career, Rudra demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, marketing, sales, and business development.

Bidisha Rudra completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Delhi University from 1989 to 1992. After that, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Economics at the Delhi School of Economics from 1992 to 1994. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Economics from The University of Georgia between the years 1995 and 1999.
