Kwok Yin Lam

Kwok Yin Lam is an experienced freelance translator and chief linguist with a strong background in translating English articles into Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) for various contexts, including community communications, academic publications, and e-platforms for clients like Google. Since February 2017, Kwok has worked with MCIS Language Solutions, Lionbridge, SDL plc, and Language Intelligence, while also serving as president of the Vancouver Kaifong Association, a prominent non-profit organization. With additional experience as an approved translator for ICBC and a former travel consultant for American Express, Kwok possesses a diverse skill set in translation, proofreading, localization, and client relationship management. Education includes a Bachelor of Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master’s Degree from Hong Kong Baptist University, focusing on Humanities and Creative Writing.
