Orie Steele

Orie Steele is the current Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder at Transmute. Prior to Transmute, Orie worked as a Staff Developer at athenahealth from September 2016 to March 2018. While at athenahealth, Orie's primary focus was on "Unbreaking Healthcare."

Before athenahealth, Orie was a Senior Software Engineer at Patient IO from January 2015 to September 2016. At Patient IO, Orie developed and maintained the web dashboard side of the Patient IO cloud platform. Their web developer skills include Yeoman, Bower, Grunt, Angular, Less, HTML5, and CSS3.

ProtoExchange was Orie's previous company where they served as CTO and Co-Founder from March 2012 to January 2015. There, they developed web stack and technology solutions.

Orie Steele began their professional career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology from June 2011 to August 2011. There they developed a pyramid (a python web framework) web application interface to a cryptographic database. Orie also worked with SQL Alchemy and Deform to provide RESTful interfaces to tables stored in MySQL.

Orie's internships include Development Intern at Hess Corporation from August 2009 to December 2009 and Development Intern at The Burgiss Group from January 2009 to May 2009. Additionally, they were a Production Intern at Silverpoint from May 2008 to August 2008.

Orie Steele's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity from Stevens Institute of Technology. They then went on to earn their Master of Science in Computer Science from the same school.

Their manager is Karyl Fowler, CEO & Co-Founder.
