Electrical & Mechanical Engineer at Transport for Greater Manchester

Tamara Parker is an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Engineer currently leading electrification and plant initiatives on the Metrolink Tram network at Transport for Greater Manchester since May 2022. Prior to this role, Tamara served as a Project Engineer at Network Rail from April 2016 to April 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing overhead line electrification and low voltage plant design for railway renewals. Earlier experience includes positions at Jacobs focusing on mechanical design for pressure vessels and heat exchangers, and as a Production Engineer at Specialist Heat Exchangers Limited. Tamara began their career as a Welding Apprentice at Regent Heat Transfer. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Railway Infrastructure Management from Sheffield Hallam University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Technology Management from The Open University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical & Computer Aided Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University.
